1. The girls survive their first night with us and each produce an egg. It's amazing to bring an egg straight in from the back garden.

2. My dad and little sister come round to meet the girls and play I Spy.

3. The wind whips rain at the patio door. I feel for the girls in their little house, but I know they're well sheltered. I'm glad to be inside.
