1. The welcome reappearance of the sun makes it feel like a lovely spring day. Only the presence of bare trees reminds me it's still February.

2. We spend the morning at uni putting up interactive maths displays. I love being busy and doing something practical, and the buzz of seeing the finished products is brilliant. Everyone worked so hard and put in so much effort.

3. Walking through town, I literally stumble across a beautiful white speckled pigeon pecking at the ground.

1. On the bus on the way back from uni, the sun shines brightly through the window and warms my skin. A cold day starts to feel a little more pleasant.

2. After experiencing yet more car trouble, my boyfriend accompanies me on my journey home from his house and makes sure I get back ok, even though it means he has to travel on the bus back to his house alone and miss the first half of the England game!

3. I spend a good half an hour this afternoon dancing energetically around my room to familiar upbeat songs, and it feels great!

1. Making paper cup telephones and shadow puppets in science. It's great learning to be a primary school teacher.

2. I have to stand up on the stairs on the bus back from uni, which means I can't see out of the windows. I love watching the world go by, but it's surprising how short the journey seems to be when you can't see where you're going.

3. Me and my boyfriend meet for a drink when he finishes work and I spontaneously order a chocolate dessert, which is scrumptious. I then offload all my gripes and groans onto a very patient and wonderful young man.

1. At university, I'm actually happy to be given a 3000-word essay about a topic on which I feel relatively knowledgable and very passionate, and I can't wait to get started on it.

2. Me and my boyfriend celebrate our 3-year anniversary over a pizza.

3. I'm excited to watch the season 4 opener of 'Lost'! It feels like a familiar friend has returned.

The past few days

1. Being organised and remembering to take my laptop into school so I can work at playtime and keep my evenings free to relax!

2. I plan and deliver a floating & sinking science activity with a small group of children. Their enthusiasm makes me feel proud of myself and overwhelmed that something I planned could have such an impact.

3. My little sister and I play with her toy till. I scan items while she accompanies each object with an outburst of 'beep beep!'

4. Because of unfortunate car-related circumstances, me and my boyfriend travel to my dad's on the train. It's lovely to sit and relax together, reading a magazine and admiring the passing scenery.

5. I test-drive a car and the heater actually works! That seals the deal for me.

6. At first it's annoying to find out that one of our trains has been cancelled so we have to take the bus as a rail replacement, but it's actually a lovely change and it's nice to have Sara Cox on the radio accompanying our journey!
